Stinging Pest Control

Serving Customers Like Family Since 1989
Stinging pests come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but we all know them when we see them. Yellowjackets, Paper Wasps, Bald-faced hornets, and Bumblebees have been terrorizing people since Adam was kicked out of Eden. Most of us know someone who has an allergic reaction to getting stung. This can be a serious health concern, but even if you’re not allergic, getting stung hurts! Alot!

Here’s what we do:

All stinging pests need to be treated differently, especially if they are pollinators. Whether you have nests in your eaves, in the ground, or in your wall, we have the equipment, and expertise to get rid of your stinging pest problem as fast as possible.

ID/Inspection

To most people, all stinging pests are called bees, or hornets. Proper identification is only a little bit more complicated than that. All types of stinging pests are fairly easily identified by appearance. If you send us a picture of the pest, or even of the nest, we can almost always identify it that way. We definitely need to know if they are one of the few species of pollinators that need special care – mainly Honeybees and Bumblebees.

Stinging Pest Control

Effective treatment can vary widely, from using a dust applied directly inside the nest, to treating all the eaves to kill nests and keep them from being rebuilt. Honeybee nests require physical removal, without killing them. This can be a very invasive process to your home, along with extra expenses involved.

Follow Up

Most enclosed nests can be treated successfully in one visit, but eave treatments may require regular visits to keep wasps from rebuilding new nests in the future. Usually treating every other month during spring, summer, and early fall will provide complete control.

Prevention

The best prevention is to have a regular treatment program that covers stinging pests. This usually means treating specific areas of the structure every other month from late spring to early fall.

Warranty

If the nest isn’t dead a week after the first treatment, we will return at no extra charge and treat it until it is dead. Or, if you are on one of our regular treatment programs that includes stinging pests, we will return at no extra charge to treat nests that develop.
